Dear Jenni,

I am glad that you are home as you are probably safer there. Would not want you entrusted to the care of those deviants for any longer than you had to. Perhaps a letter to the prime minister, minister of health and MP for a start. Do you have names?

Do you have a treatment plan?

Dear Jenni - so pleased you are home with your family but hope they managed to get all the necessary tests done before they unceremoniously bullied you out of the hospitalThumbDown . Hope you have a lovely weekend with your family but take it easy as things can be a bit 'full-on' when you have spent a few days in hospital. Make sure you rest as much as you can.

Hi Jenni,

Hospitals are full of germs and you're best out of there and safer at home in the arms of your loving family. Can't believe that after all you've been through that they have treated you this way... Agree RED BOOTS time - let them know exactly how they have treated you Mad

Did they provide you with a discharge plan, or am I aving a laugh ere?

Dear Jenni, I just read your latest post and agree with the others who
said home is the safest place.
But I do hope that all neccessary treatment/tests were completed before you had to go home.
Please let us know the upshot of your time in hospital as regards treatments etc.

hi all

I have started azothyaprin and have switched to hydrocortisone for steroid.

I do have some surgery decisions this yr- my wrists mainly plus other surgery to do with the addisons.

The endocrinologist was so enthusiastic about the drug plus surgical treatment for patients like me I was so encouraged. I dont mind talking about this surgery and other aspects but this might be best to do through PMs as it is not relevant to RAers really!

From an RA point of view I am going to do a post on the RA board.

treatment wise, the plus with the azothyaprin is that it is a very tried and tested drug- they know it well and know that when it goes wrong they pick up on it quickly.

I was given the option of more anti tnfs or cyclosporin both of which I felt were higher risk than where I was prepared to go.

The thing is, there just are NO easy choices. Not for me, anyway.

I wanted them to wave a magic wand but they never do!

I did have 12 xrays and the 2 departments did speak to eachother so that was a plus. I did not get an OT or Physio to see me. He did ask if I wanted to have an MRI on my right arm and shoulder but I didnt want to have another moment in there really.

I think the very hardest thing was when the rheummy explained that he knew I had been going through such a lot at home over recent times and this will have an effect. for every trauma he said that you can add 10% to the disease.

Sometimes there are no drugs to sort the problems that I have.

sorry a bit down this evening. I wish there was something more positive to say!

It could have been worse- I could have taken the option of no dmards!!

Hi Jenni,

Am pleased that they finally took time to look at everthing you have going on health wise. I hope the new drug has some effect and the change in steroids will help you through. A also hope they have made the necessary follow up plans for you in view of the fact that the rehumy knows what you have been going through at home. I hope things are settling down for you Jenni - you deserve a break. Thinking of you as always.

I'm glad you're home again and starting on the new treatment. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I can't believe how they treated you in hospital, to say that it must have been stressful is an understatement!
